Why a diagnostic must be independent
If the team diagnosing also needs to sell the delivery, judgement becomes compromised. The best decision is not shaped by whoever executes next.

Some diagnostics arrive with a solution already written: a campaign, a platform, a monthly retainer. In that setting, analysis stops being a tool for clarity and becomes a prelude to the sale.
That is not always intentional. But it is a conflict of interest.
Independence as a method
An independent diagnostic does not begin with an interest in delivery. It begins with the need to understand. That is why it can recommend prioritising, pausing, reordering or even not investing yet.
Independence is not a stylistic stance. It is a condition for recommendations to serve what the business needs, not what is convenient to sell.
Decide with more clarity
Diagnosing first makes it possible to decide with less noise: what works, what does not, and where the next investment is worth concentrating.
That is the difference between moving and progressing.
